How We Work: Our Commitments to You

We want to be the people you rely on in China for years, not for one order. That kind of trust has to be earned with evidence, not promises. Here is what we commit to on every task, and where our responsibility ends.

1. We check what we agreed to check, and say how

Before any work starts, we agree in writing what will be checked, how, and what evidence you will get. During the work we record the method, the source, and the date and time (China Standard Time) of every check: a public record, a phone call in Chinese, an in-person visit, or a live video call.

If we can’t check something as agreed, because a site refuses access or a record isn’t available, we tell you as soon as we know and suggest another way. We don’t quietly drop it from the report.

2. Every claim is backed by evidence

Each finding in our reports carries a status and points to the evidence file behind it:

StatusWhat it means
Independently VerifiedWe checked it ourselves against an independent source or by direct observation. The method, source, date and evidence number are recorded.
Supplier StatedThe supplier or partner told us or showed us this (including photos or documents they sent). We record it, but have not confirmed it independently.
Not VerifiedWe could not confirm it — no access, no reliable source, or conflicting information. We explain why.
Observed remotelySeen through a live video call, not in person. Always labeled separately; never presented as an on-site visit.

Depending on the service, the evidence includes:

  • On-site video. Walk-through video of the areas the site allows us to film, with the date and time.
  • Timestamped, geotagged photos. Numbered photos that keep their original date, time and location data, so you can see where and when they were taken.
  • Signed records. Visit logs and checklists signed by the person who did the work. Where the supplier agrees, they countersign or sign a Supplier Confirmation Form, which we label as their own statement.
  • Official record checks. Registry extracts with their source and capture date. Where a record has to be requested at a government office or registry counter, and the office accepts the request, we go in person and give you the printout or receipt the office issues.
  • Original communications. Copies of the Chinese messages and call notes, with English translations.

We never fabricate verification, signatures or site photos, and we never edit evidence files to change what they show. Supplier photos and statements are always labeled “Supplier Stated”, and live video is never presented as an on-site visit.

3. You receive the complete package

Not just a conclusion. At the end of a task you receive:

  • An English report with a status for every item and a clear conclusion
  • The numbered evidence files referenced in the report
  • A source log: what we checked, how, and when
  • Signed checklists and visit logs, where the service includes them
  • A plain list of what we could not verify, and why

A person reviews every factual conclusion and evidence status before anything is released, and the report is signed by both the person who did the work and the reviewer. You can ask us about any finding afterwards. See how this looks in our sample reports.

4. When something goes wrong

We tell you right away

If we find a problem, such as a bank account in another company’s name, a delay, or a site that doesn’t match, you hear about it from us as soon as we know, not weeks later in a final report.

If you question a finding

Tell us. We show you the evidence behind it and explain our reasoning. If the evidence supports a change, we correct the report in writing and date the correction, so the record stays clear.

If the mistake is ours

We say so plainly. Where an error is ours, we re-check the affected item at our own cost. This is not a money-back guarantee and not compensation for business losses: see the limitation of liability below. Fees and terms are set in the written quote you confirm.

5. Limitation of Liability — Due Diligence, Not a Guarantee

Our service is due diligence, not a guarantee. We carry out the checks agreed in your written quote carefully and report honestly what we find. Our fee pays for that work. It is not insurance against the outcome of your business or your supplier’s conduct.

  • Findings are a snapshot. Our findings reflect what was observable or verifiable at the time of our checks, using the documents, access and information provided to us or publicly available. Facts can change after our check.
  • We cannot detect every deception. A party that sets out to deceive, for example with falsified documents, a staged or borrowed site, or hired people posing as staff, may not be detectable through reasonable diligence. We do not guarantee against intentional fraud or misrepresentation by others.
  • No guarantee of supplier results. We do not guarantee any supplier’s or partner’s performance, product quality, delivery, honesty or financial soundness, or the safety of any payment you make.
  • Your decisions stay yours. Whether to contract, pay, ship or proceed is always your decision. Our reports are information to support that decision, not an assurance of any outcome.
  • We do not handle your funds. We do not receive, hold or transfer money for goods. You pay suppliers and partners directly.
  • Supplier disputes are between you and the supplier. We are not a party to your contracts with suppliers or partners and are not responsible for disputes, losses or claims between you and them.
  • Liability cap. To the extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for any claim connected with a service is limited to the fee you paid us for that specific service.
  • No indirect losses. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or business, deposits or other payments made to suppliers, product defects, recalls, delays, or claims by third parties.

If an error in our work is ours, we re-check the affected item at our own cost. That re-check, and any liability within the cap above, is the full extent of our responsibility. These points are part of our Terms of Service and apply to every engagement. Confirming a quote means you accept them.

6. We work for you, not the supplier

We do not accept commissions, referral fees, kickbacks or gifts from suppliers or anyone else involved in your task. If we have any existing relationship with a party involved, we tell you before work begins, and you can decline.

7. Confidentiality

Your supplier names, documents, prices and findings are used only for your task and shared only with the people working on it, under confidentiality terms. Client files are never shown publicly or used for marketing. Photos, video and recordings are only made with the necessary permission. See our Privacy Policy.

8. What we don’t do

  • We are not your legal agent or broker, and we don’t give legal, tax or customs advice.
  • We don’t handle payments for goods. You pay your supplier directly.
  • We don’t issue certifications, run lab tests or perform accredited quality inspections. When you need one, we recommend a qualified agency.
  • We don’t sign, commit or pay on your behalf unless you authorize a specific action in writing.
  • We don’t take on unlawful tasks or anything involving private data, impersonation or covert recording.

Tell us what you need checked or handled

We will reply with a scope, the evidence we can realistically provide, and a written quote. Work starts only after you confirm.
